The first turbo bike I rode was the best looking one, the CX500. The 500 was the first mass-produced turbo motorcycle in the world. There had been limited-run turbo bikes in the past but not a mass-produced model. It was also the first motorcycle to feature EFI when it was released in 1982.
LRCXed. The motor will work, but your going to have to change the stator and flywheel inside the engine as well as the rear cover. Your 82 has a TI ignition and the 80 motor has a CDI ignition. While it's apart you should change the mechanical seal and oils seal, check the timing chain and tensioner too.
