You can unlock the new guns at the quatermaster for free, and they all seem to be on rotation for the special challenges which so far have just been needing you to play games, not even win them. The PC versions of COD games (with the exception of Black Ops 3) don't have splitscreen support though. Playing offline is the only way you should be playing BO2 right now as I don't think the RAT exploit has been patched.
